Ethereal Echoes was an immersive sonic event at Atelier 111, featuring California-based composer Chuck Johnson and Taos-based quartet Bēon. Johnson’s evocative pedal steel melodies blended seamlessly with Bēon’s experimental fusion of electronic and handmade instruments, creating a resonant soundscape inspired by Taos and the surrounding high desert. The evening invited listeners into an atmosphere where sound became tangible—echoing within the gallery, blurring boundaries between audience, artists, and the environment.
